CFM introduces CrossFit Lite

CrossFit Macomb is introducing a new class called CrossFit Lite. This class will focus on body weight movements and teach you how to move your body efficiently, practice proper form for essential movements, and build core strength and endurance. This is the perfect way to become familiar with CrossFit's style of training, introduce you to the workout intensity, and build a solid basic knowledge of form, movements, and standards.

Is CrossFit Lite for you? If you can answer yes to any of these questions then you should check out this class.

Are you new to CrossFit and don't know where to start or intimidated by what you've seen on videos?

We are encouraging new members and beginner athletes to take CrossFit Lite classes as they start their CrossFit journey. Whether you can't do any push-ups or you just got your first pull-up, we can scale the CrossFit Lite programming to fit you where you are starting.

Do you want to get in shape before you start CrossFit?

The best way to start CrossFit is by doing CrossFit. The Olympic lifts are hard to learn especially if you are just starting CrossFit and don't know basis body movements. We want to make sure that you have good body mechanics, proper flexibility, and good form before teaching you those movements. The worst thing you can do is start a fitness program with bad mechanics. These bad habits are hard to break so let us help you learn good habits first to prevent injury and keep your fitness effective.

Do you want a good cardio-vascular burner for a workout?

Sometimes you just like the feel a fast paced body weight workout that makes you feel like a million bucks. The CrossFit Lite classes are also perfect for experienced athletes who like to move fast and burn calories with some intensity and plyometric movements. CrossFit Lite will definitely help amp up your metabolic conditioning.

Do you have an injury or just coming back from some time off?

Sometimes life happens and we get injured or can't make it to the gym regularly. CrossFit Lite is designed to me easily scalable for any fitness needs and affords you the ability to stay fit and start back up.

Good mechanics and extended metabolic conditioning are critical to your overall fitness and health. This is why we started the CrossFit Lite classes.

The CrossFit Lite classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30pm. These classes are included in your membership so feel free to mix it up in the week with CrossFit Lite, Elements, and the WOD. If you would like to know more about CrossFit Lite or have any questions, ask any of the CFM trainers.
